V.S.Chandrashekar, or Chandra as he is known to colleagues and friends, has spent over three decades steeped in the reproductive health field in India, bringing with him an array of expertise in family planning, maternal health, safe abortion, and HIV/AIDS. Beginning with social marketing, Chandra has managed large service delivery, technical assistance, capacity building and behavior change communication programs at state and national levels. He has worked with cooperatives, national and international NGOs and the private sector. His previous positions include - Country Advisor - India, Population and Reproductive Health Program, The David and Lucile Packard Foundation; Country Program Director, Population Services International; Country Director – Ipas; Resident Advisor, Center for Communication Programs, Johns Hopkins University and TTK Healthcare. Prior to joining the reproductive health sector, Chandra was involved in the dairy cooperative movement in the state of Madhya Pradesh. He holds a post-graduate diploma in Rural Management from Institute of Rural Management Anand (Gujarat, India) as well as a Bachelor’s in Business Management from the University of Mysore.
Sachin has nearly two decades of experience in designing and managing large and complex programs in public health, HIV/AIDS and family planning. Starting his career with HelpAge India, Sachin has worked with Care India, Mott Macdonald and TCI Foundation. Sachin joined FRHS India in early 2013 as State Program Manager, Rajasthan before taking on his current role. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from James P. Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University, Bangladesh and a Masters of Management Studies (M.M.S) degree from Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur.
Ashutosh has over two decades of experience in the field of Finance & Administration in industries spanning manufacturing, retail, Business Process Outsourcing and not-for-profits. Prior to joining FRHS India, Ashutosh was leading the finance and administration function as a Director in Micro Insurance Academy (MIA). Primarily focusing on the development sector over the past decade, he has also served in Population Services International as the National Manager of Administration and Finance. Ashutosh holds an executive MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta and a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management from the Annamalai University.
Dr Rashmi is a Physician with over 25 years of clinical and administrative experience in Health Care, especially Women’s Sexual and Reproductive Health and Family Planning. She is passionate about increasing access to quality health care for all. She brings with her an expertise in technical and skill training, capacity building, quality improvement and health education. Over the past five years, she has worked on public health programs with Abt Associates, PCI, Oxford Policy Management and Population Services International.
Rashmi has an MBBS degree from the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health Management from PHFI, and a Master’s in Public Health from the Global Institute of Health Care Management in Delhi.
